‘Hamilton’ Coming to Limon Heritage Society Dinner!
A New Year Can Only Mean One Thing…
…that the fabulous annual Limon Heritage Museum dinner and auction is coming! Make plans to join us Saturday, January 28th beginning at 6 pm at the Limon United Methodist Church for an exciting evening complete with food, history, and a world-class auction. Once again, dinner will include the ever-popular Baron of beef dinner with all the trimmings (prepared by board member and volunteer Peggy Schmidt), the highly anticipated “Volunteer of the Year” award, and biddable treasures that you will not find anywhere else.
In addition to a delicious meal and exciting presentation, this year’s Limon Heritage Society dinner will feature none other than Founding Father Alexander Hamilton (portrayed by Hal Bidlack)! As per the Hamilton Lives website, “Alexander Hamilton was one of the most important of the Founding Fathers, perhaps second only to General Washington. While Mr. Jefferson wrote the brilliant Declaration of Independence, it was Mr. Hamilton whose vision and spirit continue to dominate the American culture and economy today. Our nation owes a debt to the good Mr. Hamilton that is as deep today as it was 200 years ago. A presentation by Hal Bidlack will bring Hamilton alive for the audience, providing a very real sense of the history of our nation’s founding. His portrayal captures the intellect, wit, humor, and humanity of this important historical figure.” Do not miss out on this extraordinary evening; call Mary at (719) 740-0782 to reserve your tickets while they are still available!
