Open Memorial Day to Labor Day

Thurs - Sat, 1pm to 7pm; Sun, 1pm to 4pm

Mon - Wed, closed

Event Venue - Birthdays in the dining car, Baby showers in the depot, parties in the Exhibit Building--just some of the possible uses of our facitilities for parties and events.

Does your organization have a special meeting coming up? Perhaps a retirement party or even your office Christmas party? You could use the exhibit Building where we have plenty of chairs for just such a purpose. No kitchen facilities are available. We ask a small fee to cover the extra work for keeping the museum clean and presentable. flourish

Photography and Portrait Setting - The gardens and outside facades of our buildings make great, year-round backdrops for photo seasons with family and friends. Or, for professional potraits such for High School Seniors and Wedding party photos. We'd love to see your finished photos!

Inside there are lots of possibilities for a portrait setting. How about the family all sitting or standing around the wonderful wooden bench in the waiting room? Or how about using the chuckwagon for a western setting? The possibilities are limitless. Call in advance so that we can be aware of any short-term impact to other visitors. flourish

Special and Arranged Tours - Special tours are given each spring at the end of the school year to the local Limon Preschool and Grade School kids. Tours for other schools or home school groups can be arranged. We've had kids from as far away as Burlington and Elizabeth come see us.

Tours can be arranged for your organization or interest group. In 2018, we hosted History Colorado on their spring tour of eastern Colorado museums. In past years, we have had railroad clubs come to see the Rock Island depot. Other museums and history organizations have arranged tours to our museum that relate to thier particular interests. flourish
